Thursday, January 22, 2015 - The Zodiac

I am not sure what today's theme is supposed to mean. The Zodiac...are we talking about horoscopes, or do we want a description of the various zodiac systems (or whatever they are called)? The Western Zodiac is thus: Aries the Ram, Taurus the Bull...Pisces the Fishes...hmm. Well, I actually don't know all of them in order. I know that there are others called Capricorn the Goat, Cancer the Crab, Sagittarius the Centaur, Aquarius the Water Bearer, Leo the Lion, Virgo the Virgin, Scorpio the Scorpion, Libra the Balance or Scales, and Gemini the Twins. And then there is one more. I'll remember it eventually. The Eastern Zodiac includes the Rat, Tiger, Chicken, Dragon, Dog, Rabbit, Pig, Monkey...and four other animals. Interesting, both the eastern and western hemispheres have zodiacs of twelve entities represented by mascots of sorts, be they human or animal in form.
