He really didn't feel like doing a full bath when he'd have to put dirty, torn clothing on afterwards.

Returning to his room, he stripped down to his underwear, though it left him feeling horribly exposed. He didn't have other clothes, though, and there was no sense crawling into bed in dirty ones.
