Introduction

And they all gathered together in the darkness, waiting for the party to start. The room was only dimly lit with candles, deep in the cores of pumpins, faces carved on their sides.

The decorations were anything but plain; cobwebs filled the room, paper bats hung from the ceiling. A skeleton to one side, holding a tray of sweets shaped like bats, pumpkins, and ghosts. Gothic tapestries that appeared to be centuries old, hung on the walls with thick silver cord, and eery music played.

The night they gather, not on October 31st, but in every way a twin of that day.

This is Halloween... Halloween in July!
