Kareinia smiled put her hand on Damien shoulder. “You only just met the girl.” She wet her lips and walked to the window drawing back the thick black drapes to look out at the night sky. Sometimes if danger was near, a pure blooded vampire’s body, would start sending out a mixture of different signals. At least that was what her husband had told her. “The same thing could happen when a vampire who had come of age drank innocent blood, if he or she almost never drank it.” She managed a smile. “Is your hunger for her blood or just for her? Or is it something else?”
