discipline:

i stumbled into a conversation about discipline, and that reminded me of my mom's paddle. not that she spanked us often, and you had to do something REALLY REALLY REALLY bad to get the paddle. mostly we had the hand, or she grounded us from stuff we loved. in my case it was from my books. when i was grounded i had to go OUTSIDE and play with the other kids. gods i hated being grounded.
