The soft buzz of the over head lights accompanied the sound of the pen tapping against the long metal table.Behind the the dark haired man sitting at the head of the metal table was a board with several pictures of Infected that his particular unit was in charge of finding.Leaning back in his chair Jackson flipped through the file one more time. They were getting a new transfer agent today and he couldn't honestly say how he felt about it. His team and worked together for some years now, even if their current location in Orsa was new.

A new person would throw everything off balance. Of course their credentials were promising enough that he believed they would work well with the team. It was the fact that he didn't have any say at all in this.Thirty minutes ago his teams 'handler' had handed in the file and informed him that a meeting had been called for 10:30. Based on the clock across from him he had another fifteen minutes before any one showed.

Tilting his head back to stare up at the ceiling. This was the part of his life he hated the most. To Jackson the paper work and dealing with the higher ups was just wasting time. He would much rather be out there doing what he was best at. The sound of the door opening pulled him out of his musing the voice that greeted him made him close his eyes and grunt in annoyance. "Hey stop sulking in here all by your lonesome. You missed lunch." Robin, the blond infected with inhuman strength, had been his second in command and his best friend for years. He was also Jackson's polar opposite in personality.
"Just sit down while I finish going through these reports." The scrapping of of metal chair legs against the floor was the only indication that his friend had actually listened to him.
"so what's this meeting about anyway? New target?"
"New agent."

The morning found the red haired telepath sitting on the floor of the living room in the small apartment shared by some of the Infected in the Alliance. Weaver was still in her pajamas playing a game of solitaire with a worn deck of cards one of the older Infected had given her. She was the youngest in her current apartment but not the youngest she had met in the resistances group. She had been dreaming again or she was picking up on one of the others dream either way it was about the night of the escape. Flipping over another card she moved the red three right below the black four in front of her.She had two full lines already and this was her seventh game. It was actually getting pretty boring but she didn't think anyone was up. Normally Weaver didn't leave the apartment except for rescue missions or to to move to a new safe house. Glancing over at the front door she slipped into the mind of the elderly woman who lived across from them as she headed out of her home.

The woman was going out to shop for groceries and cat food. Weaver hated the woman's cats. They liked to get out and meow at their door. Also the woman didn't like her cats either but kept them around because they were her ex husband's. Which was probably why she herself hated the cats. Weaver had only ever seen them through her eyes. Stepping back out of the woman's head and focused again on her game.
