Just like Trey expected, the other man turned to walk away all too soon. They were two passerbys of five minutes, like how the sun and the stars used to greet. The sudden memory of that made Trey pause for a second. He hadn't thought about the sun in years, knowing of it only as a curse to his current existence. He didn't think he particularly missed it.

Not moving from his spot, he called out after Adam. "Why?" He raised his voice to its loudest yet in the conversation, which probably didn't amount to loud. Still, it should have easily reached the other man. "You should learn to stay." He didn't quite know why he said that, but the words felt right and real. Perhaps he sensed that Adam always left. Maybe he could see it in the way he walked.

Trey bit his lip and ducked his head. He wanted to stay, but he also very badly wanted to follow Adam despite the fact that he liked to be alone. It was a very strange feeling. Should he stay or should he go? One word would send him either direction, but at that moment, his feet felt stuck and he muttered to himself under his breath. Why was he always like this? He never made decisions unless pushed, but that didn't mean he didn't like being pushed. "....stay...." he muttered very low under his breath.
