For a second, Trey just blinked at the sweater he proffered like he was supposed to. But Adam didn't honor that. He said this was a choice, but then didn't act like that. Though as miffed by that as he felt, he didn't say anything. A second more and he snuggled back up in the sweater before following in Adam's footsteps. Staying a couple steps behind, he made no moves to catch up and reach his side. Trey preferred to shadow.

Crossing his arms, he watched Adam look at the map. Honestly Trey would just pick a direction and walk, eventually hitching a ride here and there, no planning. Though until recently, he did very little travel. "Paris...?" he muttered, his voice too quiet for most people to hear. Just the thought of the city left him uneasy. Wasn't it big? And full of such strange people? Just for a second, he turned over his shoulder to look back at Calais' lights, all pretty and warm behind him. He liked this water and this city, but he also liked Adam and never having been given advice before, he took it seriously. If a vampire was meant to move on and stay away from humans, he should heed that.

"Wait. You walk too fast," Trey added as they once again started moving. Short legs only went so far. He kept trailing right after Adam though.
