Leila huffed when the girl didn't look pleased by her note, instead hiding it away with a sad smile. Sure her brother was a little plain, with his black hair and black clothes, but she thought he was pretty cute, for a brother anyways. Always did she try to play the matchmaker for him, but it rarely worked out as he was so damn awkward and never liked her choices, which was just about every female she knew at this point.

Her diversion had failed and now she struggled to pay attention to the teacher, waiting impatiently for the class to end. The digital clock above the door showed that there was only a few more minutes but even those few minutes seemed to drag on. The teacher mentioned something about returning in their homework and Leila froze, realizing she had forgotten hers. Perhaps she would be able to slip it into the pile on Wednesday? No, the teacher always knew when she tried that and never accepted it. The bell rung, surprising her as she had been lost in her thoughts.

Luke was already on his feet and she followed him. "Forget something?" He teased, waving a page in front of her. She recognized the pink ink and bubbly handwriting as her own. "Thank you!" She all but squealed, standing on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek before snatching it from him and hurrying off. She cut in front of the rest of the students handing in their work, slamming her work down onto the teachers desk, surprising her. She didn't wait for the lecture she was sure would come and instead skipped out the door, blue and ruffles in her wake. One class she would never be late for is art.

Luke sighed as his sister bolted, the first to leave the class, and usually the last to show up. Surprisingly she hadn't been today, which reminded him of his sisters cruel joke and his need to apologize. Hopefully he would get the chance, since he was pretty sure she was in the same math class as him, which was where he made his way towards next.
