Mary sternly pushed more and more food on them until they couldn't eat another bite. Then she oversaw them as they cleaned up the kitchen afterwards. She was so stern and picky that no one had the courage to ask her what she was up to. The next thing they knew, they were running back and forth cleaning the entire house. She kept pushing them. Jake was on his hands and knees scrubbing the porch as Mindy took some stuff out to the burn pile. He whispered as she passed by, "I think this is for all the worry we put her through yesterday.
