The inside of Derek's hidden ears were still red, but it didn't take him long to figure that Pedro didn't completely understand Derek's words. How could he not understand what love was? He was a house-cat! Surely, he received all of the love and attention of the house.. He thought about that for a moment, and began to feel a bit like a prick for the way he reacted. Derek fingered the small shot glass for a minute as the bartender pored the vodka, deep in thought. He glanced over at Pedro who was eyeing the bubbles in the soda and he smirked. "That's because it isn't water, it's a club soda. Try it." He said absently to the other, as he picked up the shot glass and downed it. Then put the glass down on the bar. Oh man, did that hit the spot!
