Any book by Sarah Dessen especially Along for the Ride. They are really nice stories

Not sure of the genre: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. It's a good classic.

Finally some real life stuff which I don't know the genre name for, but books by Ellen Hopkins are good. They deal with possible real life situations as a result to bad upbringings or things like drugs and so on. Really amazing stories.
