I used to be able to draw pretty well when I was younger, but I haven't drawn anything in at least 14 years. I'm a bit out of practice now.
I don't think I could ever draw avatars though... I see alot with different poses that people do, and I don't think I could ever be that creative. I've always been more of a person that could draw from something by looking at its picture, but couldn't draw from my mind.
I think yours is really pretty though, you have alot of talent :)
