A squeal of laughter echoed through the forest, getting louder until you could see the running form of a woman. She barrelled around a tree dodging a snowball as she went. “You’re aim is seriously lacking Caden!” She yelled out as she shot her own at the man chasing her.

It sailed straight and smacked Caden in the face. “That’s it! You’re mine Katarina!” He roared out and lunged forward. Squealing Katarina spun away from her friend and sprinted towards the river. Her hand shot out and two stream’s of ice covered the water. Launching herself in the air Katarina sailed out onto the river, landing on one of the patches of ice. It moved beneath her feet and she started gliding down the river.

Chuckling Caden followed suit. As the ice elementals partner he controlled ice as well, though he couldn’t create it. Landing on his own path he shot after his friend.

Katarian spun around, going backwards. Grinning wickedly she threw more snowballs. Catching one he quickly threw it back, hitting her in the shoulder.

The elemental spun back around and put on a burst of speed as Caden launched an entire attack of snowballs on her. Cursing with laughter Katarian dodged and weaved, getting hit a few times.

A few feet up the river split off to a waterfall. Letting out a hoot of laughter she directed herself towards it. “Later sucker!” She launched herself off the waterfall. Her hands raised and a thick stream of ice shot out from them, creating a slide of ice. Katarina’s feet connected and she flew down the ice, knowing that Caden would be close behind her. Sure enough when she looked back he was quickly gaining on her.

Seeing a bank about a football field away from the waterfall she aimed for that. As she got closer the ice elemental noticed a few forms. A girl laying in the grass and a very large wolf standing over her. Katarina tensed, she could sense that they were both elementals. She made a signal to Caden, telling him to be on the lookout and that the game was over.

Both of them came to a sliding stop at the bank. Each rested a hand on their swords as they stepped forward. Katarina’s eyes rested on the wolf.
