Snapping out of her daze, Azaela thought she heard someone call 'mermaid'. She turned around to blink owlishly up at the captain. She had been seen. That was already not a good thing. Her father had told her time and time again to avoid humans at all costs because he feared that she may be captured. It was for good reason as her father Poseidon would be left at the mercy of whoever held his daughter captive. Not to mention, she knew of the locations of many sunken treasures.

"Safe..." she repeated quietly to herself. Was she in danger here? When the man threw down the rope, Azaela marveled. This man seemed to care for her safety, and was not trying to capture her. She knew that not all humans were bad. She swam towards the net, pausing for a moment. What would her father say when he found out she'd actually boarded a human ship? But more importantly, what kind of worldly treasures would it hold?

Azaela reached up and grabbed the rope with one hand, the other touched her small shell pendant that hung delicately around her neck. Her magic was held inside that shell and without it, her powers would be weak and she would not be able to transform between her mermaid and human bodies. Within seconds, her teal colored tail disappeared leaving her only in her shell bra, which she didn't realize was inappropriate in the human world.

She began to climb up the rope but she was doing a miserable job. She'd never climbed before, and she'd only used her human legs a handful of times for very short periods of time. Sapphire eyes looked up for help as her hands held tightly to rope. She was so close. As she reached up towards the wooden railing her foot slipped from a piece of the tangled netting and she fulling expected to plummet back into the 'dangerous' waters.
