Lune Astrea
Lune was born the only child to wealthy parents and had a rather sheltered life. It wasn't very long before it became apparent to Lune that her doting parents were trying to use her for some kind of political and wealth gain. An arranged marriage that had been decided before she had even been born. The politics of the rich are rarely simple, the rich always want to get richer, the political always want more power, that fact is simple. Though the means and great lengths that they go to, the tactics they employ are rather convoluted. Usually taking years before a fully formed plan even begins to come into fruition. Lune is apparently key to a plan her parents have. Their wealth has been dwindling for a little while now, and though still very wealthy, they aspire to be wealthier still. Their plan is to marry Lune off to the richest man in their city in order to acquire more wealth. A great dower in return for Lune's hand.

It wasn't fair and it wasn't right but there was nothing Lune could do. Two days until the preparations would be complete, two days until the plans were finalized, two days until the wedding. This wasn't something Lune wanted but she could not go against her family, she had to do this for her family even though all she wanted to do was run away from her fate. A pretty diamond ring glinted on the ring finger of her left hand, it sat on a delicate looking silver band. The engagement ring, it had been finally given to her a month ago, he had finally made things official by proposing and Lune could not tell him 'no'.

Lune had snuck out of her parents large house, and was running down the street, it was night, a full moon hung in the sky high above her but even if the moon wasn't full, the street lamps all light Lune's way. She was running towards the park, her favorite place to go when she wanted to be alone, when she wanted to cry. She did think of just continuing to run, but she wasn't strong enough for that, she couldn't escape on her own like that. She would be letting down her family. Her heart ached, and though she didn't want to betray her family she always felt as if they were betraying her. She stopped in front of the gate that was the park's entrance and blinked at it.

It looked different. Had the city put up a new one? That was probably it, and she hadn't been here for a few days, but there didn't seem to be any signs of construction to indicate it was fairly new. Lune shrugged and moved through the gate. When she came out the other side her eyes widened. This was not the park. This was not any place she had ever seen before. Lune took a few steps backwards, and turned. The gate was already disappearing. Disappearing? Things didn't disappear. Lune's hands were beginning to shake. How could a gate to the park take her somewhere that wasn't the park? And how could it just disappear like that? She clutched her hands to her flat chest, eyes wide and afraid.

Kurako suddenly felt like an idiot when she dropped the fruit back into his gloved hand, of course she wouldn't trust the food here, why should she? Though it was stupid, if one thought of it logically, at least in his opinion. Why go to all the trouble of helping her feet just to poison her later with fruit? It was how Kurako had thought of his own situation earlier when Solaris had given him the tea and fruit. Or maybe, she just didn't like him? Kurako pressed his back against the wall, as if he thought maybe he could disappear into it if he pressed hard enough. She was wary and she didn't like him, though maybe Kurako should stop making assumptions.

He finished off the remaining fruit in his hand and then wiped both gloved hands off on his pants. His lavender eyes never left her for more than a few seconds at a time and now she was standing by the door. She seemed to want something, the half-elf sighed softly, running a hand through his hair and tugging on one of his ears. Maybe the woman was to frightened to speak? Or maybe she just didn't like him. She did keep looking at him though. He shifted on his feet a bit, wishing Solaris would hurry and come back. He watched her intently for a moment. Did she want to go outside? Well probably she just wanted to get away from him.

Kurako crossed his arms over his chest. "I don't know what you want if you don't tell me. All I know is you don't like fruit apparently." He sounded slightly amused, not upset though he was already pretty convinced that her lack of communication was a combination of being suspicious of this place and a strong dislike of half-elves.
