Augh. I can see where that could be an annoyance. I remember this really, really, REALLY weird girl from my school asked ME out, which was really awkward at first. Especially the fact she was fatter than a 3 year old pig in the middle of summer. I wound up telling her off, though, and she hasn't said a thing since. Thank GOD.
About yer scanner...
All I would do, is save all your important files to a disc and swipe the hard drive. We had to do that because of back-door Trojans. My computer works good as new! No failures, just a lot of updates.
