Sheridan truly enjoyed the dreamless nap that he had, truly he did. It's just too bad that there was a small spike in warmth in damp cool cave, which caused him to wake up tensed and alarmed. Annoyed at the fact that someone had discovered his, what he thought, good hiding spot, Sheridan loosened himself to flee quickly in case the intruder in the cave was bigger than him. But even if they were smaller he would take the option of fleeing than fighting as Sheridan usually did. Before Sheridan could do anything though, he needed to size his possible opponent up, and although voice can be deceiving, it was all he can go on since he was rather short sighted. But he wasn't going to let the intruder know that.

"GO AWAY!" Sheridan screamed not masking his voice as he usually did, opening one of his copper brown eyes to glare at the intruder. Sheridan knew the intruder was male, judging from the faint pheromones he was emitting. Now hopefully, when the male answer would be far too confused and so that Sheridan can make a run for it. Because to be quite frank, Sheridan was no shape to fight anyone at the moment. Besides, Sheridan is currently cringing at the thought of contact at the moment and a fight would only make it worst. His self-control he was proud of was slowly caving in on itself.

Seeing that the male wasn't moving, Sheridan took his chance and began fleeing, at speeds that Black Mambas were renowned for. Bounding out of the cave, the chill of the waterfall cooling his heated body a bit, Sheridan knew he couldn't go to his home, feeling it too risky. So he quickly decided to climb up a tree, since he knew most nagas can't get up there. Bounding up there, wrapping his tail tightly around the trunk of the tree, his arms grabbing thick tree branch, lugging his heavy self unto the branch to lounge.

Panting from fleeing and the heavy exercise of climbing the tree, Sheridan made a mental note to himself. "Need... to... exercise more." Panting the words out, Sheridan was sweating from the words, coiling his tail around the branch to prevent himself from falling. Looking down, Sheridan smile a tired smile when he saw no sign of the male intruder from the waterfall cave. Not only that, he found a good branch that has good access to sunlight, so he could warm himself here. Folding is arms in front of himself, Sheridan began lounging onto them, taking a much needed break from the retreat.
