Layland checked his watch. He wasn't finding Cian as easily as he hoped. He looked down at the bottle of his newest creation and the pale cream colored liquid within. Unlike the love potion, it didn't fizz. It was a dull, chemical with no life in it...just like all chemicals. Who was he kidding but himself? Layland sighed and walked outside where the sunlight shone too brightly. He hadn't eaten anything since dinner last night and though he hated the cafeteria's food, he didn't feel like driving off campus to eat right now.

After grabbing a quick meal, he looked for a table where he would have to deal with other people. The corners were rarely taken up considering the the huge occupancy that the cafeteria had. He did see someone there though, sleeping. Layland sat at the table next to the sleeping Cian and watched him silently as he ate. He wondered if the cure would work. He wondered if maybe he'd stepped over a moral boundary that even his father would shirk away from. Did he really go to far? But he would have to go even farther if he wanted to fix it.
