Akassa sensed someone watching her and tried to look around for the source. She wondered who could possibly be out here. She shook her head. Maybe she was just paranoid. She finished with the flower crown and smiled. She loved doing this. She put the flower crown on her head and it fit perfectly. She smiled then noticed movement.
When she looked over, she didn't notice it at first but when she looked closer, she saw a snake. She let out a gasp and slowly stood up. She didn't really like snakes, though she wasn't afraid of them. The only thing that worried her was that she didn't know how to tell if it was poisonous or not. She quickly flapped her wings so that she was float off the ground. She wanted to be able to run away if needed. Something was off about this snake but she didn't know what.
Barkydle was getting annoyed by the time he found the site of his dead men. It had taken him almost an hour to find them. He saw them in an area in a small clearing in the forest and descended. He wondered what had happened to them. More so, he wondered what had killed them. He landed and walked up to them. He checked their pulse and received nothing. He let out a sound close to a growl.
He then noticed the male asleep against a tree. He quietly drew out his katana and walked up to the male. He pointed the katana at the male and spoke. "Wake up," he said coldly. If this was the one who killed his men, then he was foolish to fall asleep next to them. He waited for the male to stir. If he hadn't killed his men, the male, who he could now tell was a phoenix, would still have to answer for being in his territory.
