My granny used to make homemade Southern biscuits and sausage gravy. I don't think she ever lived in the South, but perhaps knew someone who did and taught her the recipe. She made this awesome Southern style fried chicken, with collard greens and mashed potatoes with chicken gravy.

Goodness, I miss her cooking.
