Vadim tilted his head, not sure what Belle meant by her words. He opened his mouth, almost asking, but decided against it in the end. It didn't matter and he would never see Belle's parents again because no matter what she asked for, returning was the one thing he would never give. He guided his horse toward the road after making sure everything was in order. With the last load of roses given, even his soul felt lighter, even if the genesis of the gesture was a cruel one.
