While wandering around the back of the casino you notice black feathers on the floor. Looking around you noticed an ominous stone archway. On both sides of the archway a raven roosts on a perch peering down at the by passers. One of them looks straight at you and caws. As if transfixed by the raven’s gaze you stare for several minutes. Finally you snap out of it and notice there is a sign above the archway that says “Nevermore Poker”. Curious as to what kind of game that is you decide to enter the dimly light room beyond the stone archway.

Upon entering the room a woman who doesn’t really look like she could be more than 16 greets you. She is dressed mostly in black and red with hints of white. “Hello and welcome to Nevermore Poker.” Her voice is soft yet dark. Staring at the woman you wonder if she is even old enough to work in a place like that. She chuckles a bit, “Stop staring honey. I’m plenty old enough to work here if that is what you’re wondering about. So are you interesting in playing some Texas Hold ‘Em style poker or are you just here to look around at the casino’s Edgar Allan Poe themed room?” The woman tried not to be rude, but she hated when customers stared at her because she looked young.

“It was curiosity that brought you here and was no mistake my dear friend.” A smile spread across her lips. “After all that is what this room is all about, about curiosity, mystery, and the darkness within.” Her smile turned more to a grin as she turned to lead you to one of the poker tables. “Follow me and I’ll find you place to spend your winnings with a chance to increase them.” Looking over her shoulder she gives you a small wink. After finding you a table to sit at she offers one last small smile. “Go ahead and enjoy yourself hun.” Turning, the mysterious woman walks off and disappears into the darkness.
