For quite some time, Shail continued to sleep, waking only every now and then, disoriented and unable to stay awake for more than a few minutes. Hours might have passed, or days. He couldn't track the passage of time in that sort of state. Only when dawn rays stretched outside did he wake with a clear mind.

At first, he couldn't tell where he was. His body felt heavy, but ached in a way that reminded him very clearly that he was awake. Opening his eyes slowly, he looked around. He recognized the cave immediately, but the angle looked different from before. Just where did he...oh. His fingers clenched in the blankets not quite the same as the ones he slept on before. Spotting Gemini nearby, he felt his face flush. No doubt about it; he lay on her bed. With a groan, he rolled over to press his face into a pillow, feeling only less disoriented than before.
