Iltu started as another woman appeared. "Oh, I'm sorry, didn't mean to-" she said swiftly, half standing up before the newcomer's words registered. "Oh, um, I mean..." she flailed about her vocabulary for an appropriate thing to say as she lowered herself back into a seat. "No, no I don't mind. Um, please do! Please do sit, I mean." She lowered her long pointed ears slightly in embarrassment as she blushed. Coherent conversation was not a strong point of hers!
