Pedro hurried home, feeling confident that he would see Derek again and that they were friends. He found himself hesitating on the streets, never having wandered this far before and that left his ears down, his tail flicking side to side at a furious place. But eventually he came to the dumpster he found Derek at first and from there he was able to run home without trouble. Dropping into his feline form, he rushed up to the front door and planted both paws against the wood as he let out a frail meow that didn't match his large size. The high pitched noise could reach surprisingly far though. He dropped down, clawing on the door once.

Tai smiled at Sophie in response. "Perhaps you have, but I don't mind if you want to say it again," he murmured back. He looked at the table, feeling proud that he impressed her. It was half because he got lonely and a little bored without her around that he cooked so much. He had been known to stress cook before as well as make foods just to pass the time. He never considered himself exceptionally good though, and certainly not a chef. It was just a hobby. "Don't worry about the dessert...oh." He looked toward the door as he heard the sound of clawing. "I guess our cat came home. Just in time to get his dinner too."
