As for Gaia, I hate it say it but my best RPs from that time were from the guilds back when they actually were something other than dead weight. Also how I met RPers that were a bit more open to... well... a different sort of RP outside the guild norms. Besides, having peeps to talk to actually meant I had a reason to hang around. Otherwise, it's just... oh look, I have this tab here doing nothing. Since the forums I used to be in are dead, and the places I'd want to hang around in are useless.

None of the games on Gaia ever really appealed to me, since they never gave out much of a reward to begin with. The closest that came to any sort of reasonable payout was Booty Grab (yay for Gaia's former innuendo when they claim to be against that sort of thing (and arguably current MASSIVE hypocrisy considering some of the outfits)), and that was assuming you knew people with tanks full of dolphins. A shame none of the other fish were even close to worthwhile.
