"The Hell it was!" Spade shouted before the two spiderworks crept high enough on his chest to distract him from continuing his argument. With his arms bound to his sides he tried his best to blow them off of his but to no avail. In an act of further defiance the sponge-carrying spiderwork wiped down Spade's face before skittering down the hall to make certain Crispin wasn't causing smudges on something else on the Beatrice.
Ethan took a deep breath and nearly caught a moment of relief before he felt a tug... then another. The smaller knot-bot had found another piece of rope which it had tied behind him and was using it to hoist him up to get him off of the floor. Misinterpreting this he started bellowing for Crispin to cut him down which, especially at the word 'cut', alarmed the little knot-bot causing it to start putting a gag on the man.
The ship was taking a sharp turn now, aiming itself to the most direct path to the mid-Atlantic.
