"We'll stop at the piers in Rubinn. It's a good week away," Clark answered, already full from just a plate that he gathered for himself. He almost admired Gerard's ferocity with anything, both women and food. Gerard had a few years on him, which is to be expected. He leaned back on his chair, and placed both his booted feet on the table, content and almost giddy on their haul. Maybe some ale would be in order. "Gerard, it's obvious that you've gotten some of the good ale," Clark remarked, noting his woozy demeanor ever since the serving lady treated him. At least, he hoped it was just from the ale and not some poison she swiped from somewhere. "It's not nice to hide it from your captain now, isn't it?"

He looked over at the princess from time to time and frowned when he realized that she wouldn't eat anything. She had been silently sobbing, and he knew that she would be thirsty by now. Clark reached for a bottle of wine that they left on the table, uncorked it, and left it in front of her. "Drink," he commanded, then wondering if she would be more thirsty after the fact but this was the closest thing to him at the moment.

Ariel smirked. "Yes, I'm sure that's what how you think all women act," she muttered as she crossed her arms. She wrinkled her nose in disgust as Gerard thought nothing of picking off from her plate. At least some men knew when they were done, and there were various plates on the table to gather food from anyway. What she wouldn't give for a drink or two. Maybe then she would forget where she was and just do whatever she wanted, even for a short time.
