Clark did nothing but just breathe a sigh of relief when the princess accepted her cup. It wouldn't help to have a dead princess. He would've been chased out of every port if that ever happened. He looked over at the food and took a bite of turkey that he left on his plate, washing it down with some wine from another bottle. Aged wine was the best; he couldn't remember the last time he had such good wine.

His relief lasted only too short, though, as he heard a cup clatter to the floor. Clark looked over and the princess had dropped the cup, although he couldn't tell if it was from defiance or just defeat. He guessed that it was the latter. He got up, wiped his hands on his suit and picked the cup off the floor. Maybe being so cruel wasn't the best approach. "You must be tired," he mused, his voice soft, so unlike the one he used with her at her previous outburst. "You can change out of your clothes and I'll leave the room, if you want some privacy. As for other means of clothing, I'm sure your serving girl will be able to track it down somewhere on the ship."

At least the rest of his men weren't there to watch him deal with her this way.

Seeing Gerard slip into unconsciousness felt like a bad sign to Ariel. She slapped (more like patted) his face a bit, needing him to stay awake just in case anything hurt. It didn't seem like he would respond much if something was hurting, and that was almost inhuman to her. When he called out for Davey, the nervousness in her stomach quelled a bit, but leaving him alone to find the medicine cabinet made her hesitate. 'It would only be a few minutes...,' she thought to herself, not wanting to learn the repercussions of her being unable to take care of the captain's first mate.

Davey led her through throngs of drunk pirates, some of them singing shanties and others quietly muttering to themselves. The stench on the ship was almost atrocious; it made her want to vomit whatever food she managed to eat. The big, burly man was silent as he led her through the ship. Ariel made sure to remember where certain places were but it was difficult with how dark it had already gotten outside. He led her down to where the kitchen was, muttered a few words on how she needed the medicines. The Cook gave her a look once over, and Ariel squarely looked at him in the eyes. She only realized then how difficult it would be to hold her own when she's constantly surrounded by men. Davey found the medicines, despite the cook's protests, and led her back to Gerard.

Ariel nodded a small thank you to him, thinking that maybe not all pirates were brutish and overbearing.
