Thistle watched the man stand up and as he tried to step forward. When he grasped onto her shoulder she flinched a little then smiled saying “Well at least you can walk a little, if I had to find another way to transport you we may have been out here a lot longer.” She walked right beside him in case he needed help she was there and ready. She nodded when he agreed to finding shelter for the night to get out of the weather and was glad that she wouldn’t have to deal with someone who was determined to get what was needed right away.

Hearing that he has come from basically the same direction Thistle was confused a little, if he had been nearby then she should have heard him, but she hadn’t at all. She figured that it was probably because of the storm and all the noise it was making that it drowned out any that he would have made. She followed him in the direction that he pointed out so that he could get his things.

When they reached the small shed Thistle looked around at it and noticed that it really wasn’t the best place to take shelter. The building itself was beaten up, the door was proof of that and the looks of the outside was too. When she was inside she was looking around and briefly saw fall to the floor she reached out as if to grab him but he fell before she even got the chance to.

Thistle looked down at him, for the first time she could actually see what he looked like besides just a blurry image. He looked a lot older that she was but strong and prepared for what was needed to be done. She was glad for that as she really didn’t feel like trying to pull dead weight around. His question shocked her though, she turned and looked around a bit more while saying “If you mean a survivor of this mess, then obviously yes.” She walked around the fire a bit still looking around she wasn’t really big on telling people she was an experiment as she didn’t feel like being used.

Memories of Thistle’s past flashed through her mind of when the disaster first happened how her small village all depended on her. With that the guilt of how she had failed them came across as well. Turning back to him she was back to her normal self and said “When did you find this place? It doesn’t really seem like an extremely safe place. The walls are thin to the outside your escape route barely opens…” she faded off before she finished her sentence. Looking over his wounds again she said “Are you sure that you don’t want me fix those up? I mean they might heal faster that way.” She really didn’t mean to complain about the shelter he had found she was just making sure they were safe. She had lived this far and didn’t plan on dying anytime soon.
