Tai had work at the day care that morning and woke almost with the dawn, being careful not to wake Sophie. She hadn't even shifted and for that he was glad. Leaving a note to say he worked until two, he placed it on the nightstand with a cute smiling panda face at the bottom. That one image he could draw, if nothing else. If he hummed a happy melody as he walked to his car, then that was because his night couldn't have gone any better. From the way things seemed, his morning would be no different.

As Sophie woke, Pedro, who had taken Tai's warm bed space let out a small meow. As groggy as he looked, he was also ready for breakfast and then maybe....he thought he had something to remember to do that day, but he didn't remember it yet. Fist, breakfast. Then maybe he could think. And play?
