As the few rays of dawn shyly peaked through her window, Patience decided to get ready for her first day at her new "school". She had been up all night plagued by the shadows of endless posibilities about her family's future. Slipping off her nightgown that she had made herself, she started making herself look presentable. Patience put on a pink ruffled skirt that reached her knees with a white blouse that her sister Em had so painstakingly paid for her to be able to wear. After another few minutes of dwelling on the caring face of her little sister, she started pulling a brush through her long flowing blonde hair. Finishing with a silky white bow that she always wore in her hair. Staring at herself in the mirror, she wondered, 'God, why I must be put through this test?' Plopping down on her still perfectly made bed, she was content to just lay there until she needed to go.
