Despite her faint, failed attempt to escape, she realized he didn't seem to pay her much mind. There seemed to be no malice in his voiceless hold he had. And the small smile he gave made her own return.

She wanted to speak, to ask him where she was, if he had seen the armored man, and where was he taking her. But something put her at ease even as a smirk crossed his face. He didn't seem like he wanted to harm her, at least not as far as she could tell. His warmth was very welcoming and in stark contrast to the chills from her clothes. It had been a long time since she had been this at ease with anyone. And that was all she needed right now. She silently gave in to his grasp and rested her head against his shoulder once more and closed her eyes.

Before she knew it, the sounds of a door brought her to again. She panicked mentally as she saw the large man. And then she was flustered as the man carrying her moved the arm that held her back. But his grip was strong enough to hold her aloft as he removed a large sack of what smelled of fresh meat from his other shoulder. She was taken by how strong he was, even as the two men started talking to each other.

She wanted to say something, but as soon as she went to open her mouth, he was already in motion, carrying her forward, through the door, a room, and into a bar area. She tensed up as he carried her over to yet another stranger. Before she could grasp his arm or neck or something, she was already placed in the seat closest to the cloaked male.

She sat there, confused at their odd words until she was spoken to.

"Wait..." she replied, reaching a hand out after him. But he had already slipped away. "I don't even..." she started, but trailed off as she looks over the stranger beside her. He wasn't the man chasing her, for that she was thankful. But she had no idea about the man she was sitting beside. Or the man that brought her here, for that matter.

She was starting to panic on the inside. But the man's words stuck with her. He said there would be stew. That this friend of his would look after her. At least until she felt strong enough to handle herself. She sighed and leaned forward, wincing from her soreness as she rests her head on her arms. Wherever this is, at least it wasn't back where she ran from. For that, she was thankful.
