Mina sat up better in her chair as he spoke and listened, ears tilted a little at the hint of mirth. Her eyes began to wander around a little as she tried to think of something else to say. But she was at a loss until the smell of food moving her way caught her attention.

Her stomach practically growled like a predator on the hunt as she watched the half-orc approach with the hearty smell of stew. She barely remembered her last meal, it felt like so long ago. Or so her stomach said. Before she realized it, the tray of food was in front of her and her stomach demanded she pounce on it.

But that was stopped as the man grunted and plopped the assortment of clothes in her lap. Before she could get a good look at the clothes, he had grunted and disappeared almost as fast as Talis had. It finally occurred to her that she was still quite soaked from head to toe, with cold clothes that clung to her skin. Maybe it was the warmth of the place or the whole waking in a stranger's arms and being left in a tavern that kept her from realizing it until now. Her hungry glances at the food and concerned looks at the clothes seemed to telegraph the internal conflict she had. But her mind won.

As soon as she went to ask, Kurako seemed to read her mind. Her eyes widened a little as he slid the key across the table and told her the way to his room. Conflicting thoughts ran through her head as she looked down at the key in silence for a short moment. Then she remembered Talis' words. This friend of his, Kurako, was supposed to take care of her for now. Nothing to worry about, right?

"Thank you, Kurako," she said with a smile as she carefully took the ebon key. She repeated the directions to herself under her breath as she pulled the clothes into her arms and carefully stood up. Soreness reminded her that it was still there, clinging to the muscles she worked so hard before, but she managed to push it aside. Right now, she had to get changed into these clothes. As she made her way to the stairs, she stopped and looked back, eyes fixed on the tray of food. "Shut up, tummy. You'll get your fill soon," she whispered before taking the first step up.

She made her way to the third door on the right and readied the ebon key. She would have thought twice about invading someone's personal space at any other time, but dry clothes and warm food awaited her. Besides, she had permission and the key. She tried to ignore the room and only change, but the mess of books and some valuable looking items strewn about was hard to ignore. Changing only took a moment, with only a few groans and winces slowing her down.

Mina tried to keep from thinking about what she saw before she left. It was his business how he kept his room. It reminded her of her own, honestly. Just with old clothes replacing the books and items. Back then... No. She shook her head in an attempt to shake off the thoughts of the past. She barely remembered to lock the door after she left the room. With damp clothes in hand, she went back downstairs.
