So in the art shops you have those little options to mark them as Open, Closed, Hiatus, etc. I think you could condense all of the Entertainment categories into one forum, but have an option like that to mark different threads as anime/tv show/game/other. Then, all the entertainment activity is in one big happy place, but still identifiable by category. I think that might be helpful in condensing a lot of forums actually. Then it's more streamlined, but still a bit more organized than a straight up hodgepodge.

I feel like it's better to have an obvious media corner instead of just sticking it into General discussion, but that's just me. I think by slimming things down, there's less places to hide and get lost in, but we don't want to go too crazy and cram everything into one place. Forums where topics are pushed down really quickly can also be intimidating and hard to join. That's just my two cents. Hope it's helpful!
