Today is the Vernal (Spring) Equinox - when day and night last the same amount of time. From here on out, it'll be smooth sailing into warmer weather for those of us in the Northern hemisphere!

Ostara is the Pagan version of Easter - and indeed even that holiday gets its name from one of the Spring Goddesses as well as a lot of traditions of Easter come from old pagan tradition.

Monday night, my family decorated eggs and today they'll get baskets - much like what Christian kids will get on the 31st! :3 (The egg hunt will have to wait, sadly, there's just too much wet snow on the ground at the moment)

Does anyone else here celebrate Ostara or the other special days of the "wheel"?

I was thinking about doing an art giveaway, but given that St Patty's day was Sunday and it's Wednesday already, I'm sure this forum won't be around much longer. X3
