Jae sighed in content, taking a long sip out of her drink as she looked between her three best friends. "Ah this is so nice. Just the four of us, none of your soulmates, which means I don't have to put up with being the eighth wheel and no gross lovey-dovey stuff," she directed that particular comment towards Davvin, since he and Tavis were definitely the biggest saps in the group, though all of her friends were horrible.

Elliot chuckled, shaking his head, "Just you wait. You'll find your mate, and it'll catch you completely off guard. Then you'll be right here with us." There friend group had really gone through massive changes and growth within the last year, what with all of them but Jae finding or getting together with their mates in pretty short order. It was of course something that they were all excited about, even if it hadn't all been easy. Even Jae was excited, as much as she griped and teased. She was happy for her friends, but there really was only so much sappiness she could handle at one time.
