A few days later, the clan summit had ended and Inuyasha was free to come back to the shrine to see what was going on with the girls. He didn't announce his presence right away (not that Kagome wouldn't sense him immediately anyways, he knew) and instead investigated a little first, following his nose and his ears to see if he could piece together where the girls had gone in the shrine over the last few days. One of the trails was weirdly spotty, and there was a faint scent in the air similar to ozone that made his ears fold back a bit.
