Todd nodded and rode in silence, trying to calm his nerves. Had he really just run away from the place where he was created? It seemed impossible, terrifying...and yet, somehow, freeing. When they got to Jess's house, he followed the woman inside, barely taking the time to wonder at the "house" as it was called as he trailed behind her. He watched without shame as she packed a bag with all manner of things, since he didn't know the difference between clothes and undergarments. It didn't take long for him to notice a sound that was unfamiliar, yet it somehow set off an alarm in his mind. "Jess. Jess, what is that sound? I don't like it."
