Hmm, that depends. If you go for the "good stuff" like Guyliana or chocolates from Leonidas, they can be. If you just get bars of chocolate from the grocery store, it's pretty cheap. There are large differences in chocolates, so 'tis only natural that the prices differ.
I think it's part of the artificial flavouring, or something like that. Very rootbeer-y.
