OH! I was going to bed but saw your thread and remembered!

For your giraffe shirt...

You can get rid of the boldness of the outline but not making it all the darkest color. I really like to use 6 shades when I pixel and use the two darkest for the outline - use the second to darkest for the avvies right (where it's closer to the light source) and the darkest on the avvies left. and I also use a LITTLE bit of shade four (the...third darkest) on the avvie's right JUST where the light would be hitting it most:

I went ahead and just...pixelled it so you knew what I mean...

I also tweaked the shading near the lines as well - some of the darker shading near the lines also helped cause it to look really bold I think...


This shirt is SO cute I really want to buy one!

PS - simple tube tops would work really well in the newbie shop since it's supposed to be more basic pieces anyway :D
