"I go where I like," Joey said, watching Andrew struggle to his feet. He wasn't in travelling condition yet, and there was no way Joey would let him leave the oasis until his wounds were closed and nearly healed. "And I like it here, so I was thinking you'd join me for awhile. At least until you get your strength back. Maybe I can help you back to your tribe." Though for some reason, Joey doubted this one had a tribe to go back to. He must have been alone for awhile. Just like himself.

"We can get more supplies at Darkwater. It ain't too far from here and the sheriff actually likes me. They try their best to live in harmony with the local natives, so you won't face any..." He couldn't think of a word to describe what he was thinking and stumbled slightly. "Er... Hate from 'em. They are good folk, the people of Darkwater, and it is the only place I refuse to do any harm in." It must have been strange to hear that an outlaw like him had morals.
