This was the part where Alexander entered "The Trap Zone". See, it was like the Twilight Zone except that instead of bizarre scenarios there would be bizarre (but somehow functional) traps set in the room. Luckily, there were a few boxes in the room so hanging the net on the ceiling wasn't quite as hard as it would have been if he had to climb. Each corner was now rigged to be cut with a hair-thin tripwire that he'd soon string along the entrances of the room. He didn't want any chance of the plan going wrong (as it sometimes did) and have another person set the thing off by accident so it would be last on the list of things to do. He had a good idea of what the insides of the Crystal Caves looked like from his past exploration, but now he also had the trapdoors memorized. All trapdoors probably led to the mining area or yoga studio anyway. Unless he was missing something, there shouldn't be an alternate entrance way to the studio. It would be too risky.

On the other hand was the yoga studio. He didn't know what the building's floor plan was and knowing Ella, she'd get herself into a mighty bit of trouble before finding the rest of the gang so perhaps she'd be able to report back to him. Should he set some traps inside the buildings too?

Too risky, he thought, Ella can handle herself.

At worst, the cave ghouls would get away but they would have enough evidence to implicate those goons so long as Joleen's father didn't dismiss them and Sheriff Dodson would do their job. They had a nasty habit of turning the blind eye.
