As Giselle dismissed Belle, Vadim held his hand up to stay this decision while he thought. Of course the mother would want to send her child away while admitting her failure as a person and to protect this beautiful daughter. Vadim however reveled in the idea of uncovering this little secret even while he wished to obscure his own secrets. "No, never mind about your husband, but let Belle stay. After all..."
