When I get so bored, I'll actually play Tetris in my head. ...it's an odd habit. It even happens when people are talking to me and I don't care to listen. So I'll start playing Tetris in my head again. They know when I'm doing it, too. Because I concentrate really hard, lol. I was actually at my old job one day and was playing it while Randy was talking to me. I remember him yelling at me, "Damnit Jen, stop playing Tetris and listen to me!" There are times I'll be sitting in the living room and doing nothing. So I'll play it in my head and of course others are in the room; so they hear me screaming, "Long orange block! LONG ORANGE BLOCK! >;O" ...it's a bad habit. I think I need intervention perhaps. Hey, my sixteen year old sister does it too, heh.

So, what about you? Do you share this bad habit? And if so, what games do you play in your head? C;

I don't quite share the habit, but there's this game Puzzle Pirates, for Swordfighting they have a tetris like game and when I play it too much in a day I'll continue playing it in my head when I try to go to sleep wether I want to or not XD It's like imprinted in my mind for a while.

I do that with various other things. It's like...obsessive compulsive. My mind doesn't let me decided if I want to do it or not. I just do it. It's annoying. And yeah, it happens at night with me too. So it's so hard to get to sleep sometimes.

yes i do have a bad habbit of playing in my head,but not tetris,it's some kind of a gun game,i played it once yet i cant get it out of my head,so..i play it inside my head ^^

The only game I play in my head are RPGs.

Also, THE GAME. Which reminds me, I LOST.

And Occasionally some DDR, but Both are more of an 'eh, my brain has space' sort of thing. I also play music in my head.

odd. i don't do that. when i don't want to listen or get too bored to interact, i just... shut off. sometimes i'll plan a website template or figure out new topics i might want to start on forums or think of a photo i'd like to take, but that's about the extent of it for me.

I do that only it's with the carpentry game and it's a tiled floor. I can't help myself. XD

yeah, I know this habit...well, at least something similar
I don't play tetris, but if I have for example one sentence or word, then I have to divide it into syllables and put these onto different "checkpoints" in my head....it's really hard to explain
but well, it's really annoying, because sometimes, I can't really control it :/

Oh, good, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who plays Tetris in my head. XD I'm so addicted. ;.;

I don't really play it during the day, but at night when I'm trying to sall asleep, I just start doing it. XD I'll try to stop so I can think about something else, like a story or something, but it does not go away! My brain is mean to me.

Lol! I actually do that with carpentry, too xD And I did it with bilge alot in the beginning, but now I'm sublime/ultimate at that so my brain decided I don't need mental practise for that puzzle anymore xD

I do stories and I did wonder what other people think about who don't do stories. Without the stories my ind would feel empty and blank.
And so here is my answer among others , I've never heard of this before.

I used to play tetris in my head. Now its more likely that I play either the music game my friends and I came up with (you start with a lyric from a song, and then the next person needs to come up with another lyric that has one of those words in it), or just entertain various stories. Occasionally I chat with the characters I've created...

I often find myself playing games in my sleep too. Sleep tetris, sleep Left 4 Dead, sleep Resident Evil....and so on. XD;

I've had Tetris dreams sometimes - especially if I go to bed right after playing. :yes:

I've also had Viva Pinata dreams after playing for hours and going to bed. . . it's kind of creepy actually to have a never ending game of tetris going on in my sleep.

You've no idea how happy I am to hear that this happens to others, lol. XD Yay for not being alone! I mean....it isn't exactly great to have such a habit. Especially when you can't really control it. D;

But it is funny, because I woke up this morning and was playing Tetris in my head again. I got so TO'd! Because I'd be hoping for a certain block to put in a slot, but I would get it....and it'd go in a slot I didn't want it to. I think my brain is trying to be funny and mean at the same time. How rude. ;O;

Hey, I do the story thing, too. It's much more fun than Tetris, heh.

----i role play in my head. I think i started when i was littel and my sister wouldn't play with me(she was in her stuck up faze) so i "imagined" her character. Now i can sit down and make three or fore different people interact in a simple setting (usually of continuously the same terrain). I like making them battle to the death, like pokemon but with people and they have no idea i'm watching. I use my own characters, one of them has a split personality so its harder to imagen what they would do. I usually can't get more than three or fore people though. I like that tennis idea, but i keep picturing that wii-tennis, I saw it one time and now its permanently in my subconscious. I usualy only picture mine as if it were anime, but the wii-nandroid-chibi seems entertaining.
----one time i had a dream i was IN a tetris block(not playing tetris). There were thousands of us falling from the sky like snow. It was really fun until we saw the city we were about to fall on. I slipped into the sewage drain thing and there was more sky under ground. then there was ground under that sky and sky under that ground. I can't remember how it ended but i know there were only a few of us left.

I don't play games in my head, I think about my story ideas and how a certain event will play out. I'm always thinking about my characters when I get bored, so I guess I never really thought about what people who don't have stories think about.

Oh, I did just remember that when I was younger I used to zone out and trace all the objects in the room with a pencil, in my mind of course. I don't know why, it would just happen, and then I would think about what the wall would like after I traced everything and took it all out. O.o;;

Come to think of it...I do play games in my mind sorta. At least I have my chars playing games sometimes. These games are more story oriented then game oriented though. The focus being more on the characters then the actual game.

I have no idea. Sometimes, I'll think of a block and it'll appear. It doesn't always go in the slot I want it to go in though. ;O;

I don't usually play games in my head, at least, not electronic games. Mostly, I'm thinking to many other random thoughts to play games. Although, sometimes I'll be thinking so much about what I'm going to do next in some game, I may as well be playing it in my head.

lol. iono why, but whenever someone's talking to me and I get bored, I start playing Mario in my head with the jumping on mushrooms and spittin out firebollz.

I can't believe there are other people who play Tetris in their heads. I figured I was just weird. I play Solitaire in my head too. I don't usually do it when I'm with other people, it's usually when I'm laying in bed trying to go to sleep. Sometimes it can be really distracting from sleep, but usually it helps me fall asleep. I always have an unfair advantage in my head, I never make myself wait longer than a couple times for a certain card/block. I'm not patient enough :p
