He who cries,
She who dies,
He who bets,
He who lies.
This story is about four families in England. The year is 1774, King George III, and Queen Charlotte are in power and the colonies are thriving beginning to stir up some problems. With more and more people leaving for the new world the social grip of the world is tightening around the people of England. And this is where our story begins.
Ok that is the basics. Now for your part in this chaos. This story is based around fours families whose women have grown up together and came from the same boarding school. Hence the four lines of the poem. (1) 'He who cries' is a man who is so over stressed by his life and his work (to be chosen later) that he throws angry fits of rage and at times is very violent but is then overly remorseful afterwords and possibly suicidal. (2) 'She who dies' was one of the women whom died young after having their one and only daughter, and with no male child, the father throws himself into the bottle and drugs where he can get them which is slowly withering away at the family fortune. (3) 'He who bets' is a man of high standards but had a major gambling problem. His marriage was a betrothal. (4) And finally 'He who lies' is a man who is anything but loyal to his wife and treats her more and more like a servant and a prostitute each day.
Now for the women of our story. This first bit is relevant to all of you by the way. The women of this time were very modest. If you wore something too low cut in the chest or higher then your ankles it was actually seen as scandalous, so before you join this role-play i beg you to find a good site that describes edict from this era and read it over. Women were submissive to the heads of their house weather it be their husbands or fathers of the plain fact that they were seen as property by most and the men controlled their fates and standings in society along with the fact that anything that befell them fell back upon their family names. So the whole major kick-ass Bitch doesn't exist here, and if she does, only in small amounts and NEVER in public. Any questions please ask.
ALSO NOTE: These families are a high classed bunch. Not royalty or anything but nice sized fortunes, enough to where if these problems didn't exist they'd be very well off.
