Since I'm fairly new here, I need some pointers if anyone can give me some. Most notably:

Is there like a 'universal' character profile that people use here?

Also, what's a good limit for a newcomer to RP? Like 5 or 6 people at most?

Have you taken a look at the Anti-Munch Project? That gives a bit of a "don't do this" list. It all comes with time, though. :)

I think it would depend on what you're going for regarding anymore information. Try looking around at some of the RPs to get a feel for what you'd like.
As for a person limit, I'd say that depends, too. Maybe you might like to work one-on-one until you feel confident in groups, y'know?
