Well the good thing about events is that you can usually equip your avatar with clothes or accessories so you don't feel too naked, no matter how new you are. ^ ^
Afterwards I'd check the exchange for people who are selling other event type clothing for cheap since they tend to be overstocked *I suggest anything to do with the Phoenix Jubilee event*
But if you're just wanting gold so you can get the commons at the end of the event all the tokens you save up will be converted to gold. Each are worth 25g so if you don't see anything in the special event store that you like just hang on to the tokens. *stars don't convert to gold sadly*

@Master- The tokens are going to automatically convert to gold at the end of the event?? I've been buying Laurels and just selling them back...

Yeah have to say I like Gaia for that. You can get a greater variety of clothing more easily.

Well you just have to start posting and maybe visit the charities to help you. Just don't beg or anything.

I feel the same way. Dont let the clothes I have fool you. My inventory is basically empty but I'm getting there. If I can do it so can you all. Also my wishlist is long and pricy thats why I dont even go into the store anymore bcause I'll keep adding stuff Ill never get.

Just work at it, while this event is going how about collect tokens buy commons and sell them back?

I hope you're at least able to get most of the items you want. I'm a slow gold gainer, so I try to earn a surplus of it to use for events. Try to collect as many tokens as you can. Set a 5-minute timer if you need to. :3

It is hard and every time I pick something out I change my mind with it. I normally just get stuff with the event items like tokens thats how I threw this together lol.

Umm the using tokens to buy things and sell them back trick worked well of me last event. My only non event item was paid for like that. I also has a person donate a little to me so I could finish paying for it.

Don't worry, no one will judge yu harshly here for not having a super spendy outfit. I know on another site, you feel naked and no one will talk to ou unless you are super layered with several MC's. I have never run into thqat here. People are much less materialistic here.

One of the great benefits of this is people don't run around asking you for your stuff.

I see it more or less as a ladder, and rather than finding a giant prize at the top, there's a small prize every few steps.

You just gotta keep things in perspective, and keep at it.

Yeah, one of the hardest things about Menewsha is having to start naked and earn your clothes. The clothes you want can be expensive, so try to put together a cheap, easy to obtain outfit to wear until you get all the good stuff. ^_^

My Wishlist is only at 350, but I like the really simple clothes. >.<

At the fancy store, for 4 items I believe and the total is 9.9k, that's a lot, but they're so adorable! -squeals-

the amount of money you get is bigger for longer posts right? If I can find a literate RP then I'll do fine, I found that MyspaceIM and gaia have different 'rules' about certain things....better to come equipped with knowledge, can anyone help me?

oh ok,im just a newbie and i think getting gold is hard but then i read this soo,im curious about the tokens and such,i mean ilook pretty bad,i mea this hair and eye mix, its just really ugly,XD but heck ill find out about tokens!
