... or is it that no one just doesn't appreciate classical music and opera anymore? XD
Seriously, I love those genres... does anyone share the same thing I love in here?? :D

I love classic music. It's always a big helper when I'm doing my homework and the parentals are busy going into hysterics. Too bad my ipod died and now I have nothing. T____T But at least I have some score albums to listen to. As for Opera. I've never really listened to an 'authentic' opera so I couldn't say. But I've heard snippets from operas which are amazingly beautiful.

I like classical music, especially Vivaldi. :3 I also like going to operas and seen a couple. I loved Carmina Burana especially. But, alas, haven't had any opportunity to go to some opera in a while.

Yeah, in my part, whoever sung opera doesn't matter because I jut want to hear the amazingly portrayed vocals of the singer...
And as for classical, I mostly like Bach's, but I also listen to Vivaldi since I play the violin... :D

I listen to classical music a lot. When I'm stressed or tired or just need a break I always turn on classical. I have a bunch on my ipod and I keep a classical station in the presets on my xm in my car.

Andrea Bocelli is the love of my life. XDDD He's an opera singer whom I've loved since elementary school for some reason. I was always a weird kid though, since I love that sort of thing. XDDD
I play the violin too, since I really love 'classica'l music. Although, I don't really love technically classical music. I much prefer Baroque and Romantic, like Tchaikovsky. XD

Agreed. I love tons of music from the Romantic Era. Especially Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Brahm. <33

Ah yes, Chopin. I loved his piano compositions and it's so hard to play some of those because of the speed... But yeah... I'm glad there are still individuals out there who appreciate classical music... I'm as young as 18 but all I hear are hip-hop, pop and rock (but rock is okay for me since they have INSTRUMENTS played unlike hip-hop and pop)...

Ah, classical music is so nice to listen to when you're stressed. XD
"June" Barcarolle by Tchaikovsky was probably my favourite piece to play on the piano before I quit. (Nine years of slaving away to pass exams. D8)
Most likely because it was the only Romantic piece I could play decently, I really like the Romantic period, it was certainly very beautiful but it's just not my style. Haha.
For most of the time I played piano, I enjoyed playing the Classical and Baroque pieces more.
Bach's 'Well-tempered Clavier' was pretty epic and I really enjoyed Beethoven as well. :]

I listen to classical radio every day when I do my paper rout. Rachmaninoff is one of my favorites. he was a genius with a piano. Tchaikovsky was also quite amazing with orchestration. It really depends on what I'm in the mood for.

Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake is awesome... I played the first part of it in the violin once... but I want to play it in an orchestra someday... :]
I haven't been to concertos or to opera houses, but whenever I listen to the music of the instruments and the voices of the opera singers, it's like I feel so relaxed under the stress of college, and all the troubles disappear... (until the music finishes playing... :XD)
Sometimes, when I'm about to enter the Faculty of Engineering building in my University, I tend to get side-tracked whenever I hear music coming from the Conservatoire of Music (Since they're just beside each other) as the music students practice... I also love listening to the sound of brass instruments like the saxophone and the trumpet even if they're considered to be under the category of Jazz... but hey, at least (for me... :XD) it's instrumental, and not just the voice with lyrics... I'd rather listen to opera than waste my time listening to pop songs that get their beats from electronic devices and with (more often than not) explicit and inappropriate lyrics...

I'm going to see Swan Lake preformed in St Petersburg. ;3 Jealous?
Also going to see Yevgevy Onegin, which I'M EFFING PUMPED FOR. PUSHKIN RULES!! AND SO DOES TCHAIKOVSKY! But Pushkin rules just a little bit more. ;3
I play classical piano, so I'm familiar with the composers I like and play, but that's it. xDD My current favorite song is Sonatina in C Major by Kuhlau. It's just so fun to play!! XDD
